FIA Foundation for the Automobile and Society

EASST was established with a grant from the FIA Foundation for the Automobile and Society, a UK-registered charity concerned with global road safety and sustainable mobility.


European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD)

The EBRD is the largest financial investor in its region of operations which stretches from central Europe to central Asia and the southern and eastern Mediterranean. The bank supported EASST's  Safe Driving for Life campaign, launched in February 2013 in Moldova to tackle the high rate of work-related road injuries in Moldova.


World Bank

EASST’s ground-breaking police training exchange programme – aimed at improving enforcement and combating corruption among Road Traffic Police and involving Moldovan, Georgian and UK police forces – is sponsored by the World Bank and RoadPOL.



RoadPOL is a new global road policing initiative which supports senior police in their traffic safety operations through enhanced leadership and knowledge transfer. RoadPOL aims to promote police engagement in road safety at senior leadership levels, and in doing so, to enhance the effectiveness and professionalism of road policing.

Ukraine International Airlines

Ukraine International Airlines (UIA) became the Official Carrier of EASST in 2013. UIA is the flag carrier and the largest airline of Ukraine, based in Kiev and its Boryspil Airport. It operates scheduled domestic and international passenger flights and cargo services to Europe, Middle East, and Asia. Further information can be found on their website: www.flyUIA.com



Kier Group

Kier Group plc is a leading property, residential, construction and services group which operates across a range of sectors including defence, education, housing, industrials, power, transport and utilities. Kier Group have partnered with EASST on a range of projects aimed at reducing waste and donating much needed equipment to EASST’s road safety projects. So far, Kier’s projects with EASST have included sending 5,000 high visibilty jackets to Moldovan farmers, collecting child car seats for planned reuse in Georgia, and co-ordinating the donation of several thousand items of surplus safety clothing and equipment from the Crossrail project. Kier and EASST were awarded a 2015 Green Apple Award for Environmental Best Practice.

European Road Assessment Programme

EuroRAP’s vision is to create a Europe free of high risk roads. It operates by measuring and raising awareness of risk, encouraging good practice and promoting the innovative implementation of road infrastructure measures known to reduce fatal and serious collisions. In June 2013, EASST became an Expert Member of EuroRAP. In collaboration with our Moldovan partner, the ACM, a EuroRAP inspection took place in Moldova 2010-11: http://www.eurorap.org/partner-countries/moldova/

Deutsche Verkehrswacht

The Deutsche Verkehrswacht (DVW) is a non-profit organization operating in Germany on a national and state level to promote road safety awareness and practice. The DVW works closely with local communities and makes great use of volunteers in its activities. With EASST, the DVW coordinated a visit of the Ukrainian Road Traffic Police to the state of Sachsen-Anhalt in February 2012. The DVW is a cooperating partner of EASST.
