To mark International Children’s Day, EASST’s partner the Automobile Club of Moldova (ACM) took their “Alex In The City” road safety show to a school in Congaz in Gagauzia. The school is a boarding school for children with disabilities who are at particular risk when using the road.

In partnership with “Foisor Fermecat” Theatre, the ACM launched its road safety show featuring school boy Alex in May this year:
Alex and other road safety characters are now touring the country providing youngsters with valuable road safety lessons in a fun and lively format. On 1st June 2014, the show aired in Gagauzia for the first time and was well received by the children who had the opportunity to learn traffic rules together with the heroes of the show. They also received sweets and balloons from the ACM team.
The show has been developed to raise awareness of road safety, support the goals of the UN Decade of Action, and promote responsible behavior of children and parents, sponsored by the Federation Internationale de l’Automobile and FIA Foundation.
