BKA promote children’s road safety at final stage of Rally Belarus 2017

On 16th September under the kind invitation of the Belarusian Automobile Federation (BAF), EASST partner the Belarusian Auto Moto Touring Club (BKA) took part in the final stage of Rally Belarus 2017 in one of the most picturesque areas of the country – the banks of the Braslav lakes. In the open air, the BKA held awareness raising activities for children and parents attending the rally.

Local school children were invited to take part in games and quizzes drawn from the EASST Road Safety Education Pack which tested their road safety knowledge and skills around safe cycling.

BKA Director, Irina Potyakina, also led a mini-lecture for partents on the safe and proper use of child restraint systems, and provided recommendations for installation and demonstrated how they are used correctly.

All the children received little prizes for their active participation including stickers, reflective elements and brochures. The most active participants received free bicycle helmets. BKA were happy to notice that children enjoyed the event and took a lot of photos with the BKA representatives.
