PfRS introduces iRAP and its approaches to road safety to Georgian Technical University students

On 24 June 2026, representatives of the Partnership for Road Safety Foundation (PfRS) delivered a presentation to a group of 30 students and academic staff at the Faculty of Transport Systems and Mechanical Engineering of the Georgian Technical University to highlight the work of the International Road Assessment Programme (iRAP) and its global approach to planning, assessing, and improving infrastructure.

EASST partners mark the eighth UN Global Road Safety Week

12-18 May 2025 marked the eighth UN Global Road Safety Week. The theme for this year focused on the pedestrian and cyclist safety noting that despite overall reductions in road casualties globally – deaths and serious injuries amongst vulnerable road users are increasing in almost every world region, including across EASST partner countries.

More than half a million children get safer school zones (and counting!)

In April 2025, we completed the second phase of our regional Safe School Zones project, supported by the FIA Foundation Advocacy Hub, with expansive results that have seen safer routes to school for more than half a million children.

Work starts on the Eastern Partnership Road Safety Observatory

As of February 1, 2024 the Eastern Partnership Regional Road Safety Observatory (EaP RSO) is up and running. Hosted by the Ministry of Economic Development of Georgia, the Technical Secretariat is led by the ISET Policy Institute and EASST, and is located in Tbilisi, Georgia, at the ISET Policy Institute.
