EASST Advisor Chinara Kasmambetova is encouraging people to think about their attitudes to driving in order to promote a better style of driving and improve road safety in the Kyrgyz Republic.

On 30th June 2015, Chinara was invited to discuss this issue during live TV programme “Oi Ordo” by the Public TV and Radio Corporation. She was joined by representatives from the Traffic Police, the State Registration Service (which issues driving licenses), and driving schools.

They engaged in lively discussion on key questions such as ‘what is driving culture?’, ‘what can be done to improve it?’, ‘which institutions are responsible for addressing this issue and how?’ and other areas, highlighting recent attacks and fights on the roads between drivers and the Traffic Police.
