EASST’s Georgian partner the foundation ‘Partnership for Road Safety’ has recruited several Georgian racing drivers to join their efforts in promoting the UN Decade of Action for Road Safety which aims to save 5 million lives by 2020.

On 14th April 2013 the Partnership for Road Safety was invited to Rustavi to the Georgian Championship in Circuit Racing for Formula Alfa, Legends, GT Class and Mono Class to meet the drivers and brief them on the upcoming Global Road Safety Week.  The Second UN Global Road Safety Week is being held 6-12th May 2013 and is dedicated to pedestrian safety.

The Partnership for Road Safety has several events planned for Global Road Safety Week and will continue to work with the racing drivers on promoting vital road safety messages to a variety of target groups.
