From 31st October to 4th November 2013, EASST partner the Automobile Club of Moldova (ACM) and ProtectMD Foundation participated in the “Security-2013” International Specialized Exhibition in Chisinau together with the National Patrol Inspectorate.

The focus of the exhibition was to provide members of the public with advice on various aspects of safety and to forge new partnership to promote safety generally. The ACM and ProtectMD Foundation participated as advocates for road safety, providing visitors with materials and advice to the public on how to stay safe on the roads. This action forms part of their constant effort to reduce road traffic collisions and death in Moldova.
The Seat Belt Slide, one of the tools used by the ACM to promote seat belt use
Members of the public had the opportunity to test the ACM’s ‘Seat Belt Slide’ which demonstrates the importance of seat belt use by imitating a road crash (frontal collision) at the speed of 30km/h.
The exhibition’s opening ceremony was attended by the Minister of Internal Affairs, Dorin Recean, who encouraged those promoting safety. Learn more: http://www.mai.gov.md/content/25935
