Kyrgyzstan, News

EASST partners PA Road Safety have had an extremely busy and successful year promoting road safety in the Kyrgyz Republic.

Their 2018 Annual Report covers projects including the successful delivery of the first ever pedestrian safety report in the country, which won a Prince Michael International Road Safety Award in December, and engineering training led by EASST Expertise consultant Matt Chamberlain.

The Report also highlights continued work with the EASST Road Safety Education Pack, projects with the OSCE and Soros Foundation Kyrgyzstan, as well as participation in global campaigns such as ‘This is my Street’ and the World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims.

Throughout the year, PA Road Safety both organised and attended numerous conference on issues of safe and sustainable mobility and had their work covered in over 60 media stories and posts.

PA Road Safety are doing tremendous work to keep road safety on the agenda in Kyrgyzstan. We look forward to achieving more with them in 2019.
