On 5th October 2014, EASST’s key road safety partner in Kyrgyzstan took part in the 3rd annual Pedestrian Paradise festival in the capital Bishkek. Many children and families engaged with ‘Road Safety NGO’ and its Director Chinara Kasmambetova who had prepared interactive road safety games and prizes for the children.
The annual event is always popular with children in Bishkek
The team were joined by super heroes ‘Traffic-light’ and ‘Rod’ who helped to conduct the games.
The event was organised by Road Safety volunteers Lola, Aidar and Altynbek who are students of the Kyrgyz National Agriculture University.
The aim of the event was to promote child safety and visibility, raise awareness of pedestrian safety and rights, and promote safe driving on the streets of Kyrgyzstan.
