In February, the Kyrgyzstan Ministry of Internal Affairs established its new Public Council. The aim of the council is to ensure public oversight of various reforms, including policing and public safety.
We are pleased to announce that EASST partner, Chinara Kasmambetova, Director of Road Safety Kyrgyzstan, has been appointed to the council which had it’s first meeting on 21st February 2017.
This is an excellent opportunity to promote road safety and enforcement at a national level and we look forward to seeing the developments of the Council as they progress.
