The Automobile Club of Moldova (ACM), EASST’s partner in Moldova, has published the results of their recent research on seat belt and child restraint use in Comrat.

According to the obtained data, the level of compliance on compulsory seat belt use among drivers was 32.10% and among front seat passengers was 22.7%. Female seat belt use while driving (81.13%) was considerably higher than males (26.64%).

The data compiled will be used to assist the ACM and EASST in targeting the most vulnerable drivers during future campaigns.
